Nancy has over 30 years of public accounting experience including
employment with Deloitte and Ernst & Young. Nancy specializes in
individual financial planning including retirement planning, stock
option planning, income tax planning, education planning, and wealth
accumulation planning. She also manages a significant small to medium
business client base and consults on tax and accounting issues
associated with growing companies and ventures.
A 1983 graduate of the University of Michigan, Nancy holds a
bachelors degree in business administration with a concentration in
accounting. In 1987, Nancy received her Master of Science Degree in
Taxation with high distinction from DePaul University. In 2001,
Nancy successfully passed the Certified Financial Planners
Examination and is a CFP ™ in good standing.
Nancy's current community involvement includes serving as President of the Kalamazoo Institute of Art and Girl Scout leader to
Troop #683. Past board involvements include finance committee member
of Kalamazoo Civic Players, treasurer and board member of the Arts
Council of Greater Kalamazoo, treasurer and board member of the SLD
Center, and board member of Junior League of Kalamazoo, Heritage
Community of Kalamazoo, MRC Industries, Inc., Pretty Lake Vacation
Camp, and Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra.
Nancy's professional organization involvement includes past
treasurer and member of Professional and Executive Association of
Kalamazoo. She also an active member of the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants, the Michigan Association of Certified
Public Accountants, and the Financial Services Professionals
Nancy is also a native of Kalamazoo and is a 1978 graduate of Msr.
John R. Hackett High School. Nancy’s family includes her husband,
